Ilani Eliminated, Pernia Triples

Level 30 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Ran "TheCrane" Ilani opened to 80,000 in early position, Alejandro "adolfito" Sterling three-bet to 200,000 in middle position, and Eugenio "Ausetep_255" Pernia went all in for 371,626 in the small blind. Ilani put all his 827,977 chips into the middle and Sterling called.

Ran "TheCrane" Ilani: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Alejandro "adolfito" Sterling: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Eugenio "Ausetep_255" Pernia: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Ilani ran into the pocket kings of Pernia, but was still the favorite against Sterling for the side pot. That changed however on the {2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Spades} flop. The {8-Diamonds} came on the turn, and the {10-Diamonds} on the river, giving Pernia the main pot, Sterling the side pot, and eliminating Ilani from the tournament.

Flopped Set No Good for "Garcha"

Level 29 : 17,500/35,000, 4,500 ante

Ermo "PublicEnemy7" Kosk opened to 77,000 in middle position and "the hawk" put all of their 680,106 chips into the middle. "Garcha" also got all of their chips in and Kosk folded.

"the hawk": {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
"Garcha": {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

"Garcha" flopped a set on the {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts} flop, but so did "the hawk". The {9-Spades} came on the turn and with only one out to help "Garcha", the {2-Spades} would not do it and "the hawk" swooped in to take the chips.

Brazilian Battle River Keeps Thiesen Alive

Level 28 : 15,000/30,000, 3,500 ante

Alex Papazian opened to 60,000 in early position, Brazilian Peter Patricio called in the cutoff, and Brazilian Igor "AMilhao" Thiesen shoved his stack of 599,687 into the middle. Papazian folded and Patricio called to see he had a better pocket pair.

Peter Patricio: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Igor "AMilhao" Thiesen: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

The flop was {4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} to keep Patricio in the lead. The {8-Clubs} turn gave him a set but he was not out of the woods yet as Thiesen needed a seven on the river for a straight, and the {7-Clubs} river was peeled off to give Thiesen what he needed and keep his tournament hopes alive.

Musa Ousts Chamas to be First Over 2 Million

Level 27 : 12,500/25,000, 3,000 ante

Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov opened to 50,000 in early position and Rayan "InhalemyQuQ" Chamas three-bet to 138,000. Bahar "reallyeasy" Musa went all in and it folded back to Chamas who called for his remaining 797,632 chips.

Bahar "reallyeasy" Musa: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Rayan "InhalemyQuQ" Chamas: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Chamas was in a good position to double and paired his king on the {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop. However, disaster struck for him on the {j-Clubs} turn as it gave Musa Broadway, and the {5-Hearts} river eliminated him from the tournament.

Chamas' misfortune was Musa's fortune as it gave him the chip lead and made him the first player over 2 million chips.
