Level 22 : 3,000/6,000, 600 ante

WSOP Legend: Doyle Brunson's Final Bracelet, 15 Years Later

Level 22 : 3,000/6,000, 600 ante
WSOP Legend Doyle Brunson
WSOP Legend Doyle Brunson

At the beginning of the 2005 WSOP, Doyle Brunson remained the co-king of the all-time bracelet count, tied along with Johnny Chan at nine. However, as the series drew toward its close in late June, that was no longer the case — Chan had overtaken him by winning No. 10 to stand atop the mountain alone.

Brunson was already phasing out his tournament play, having cashed precisely zero times that summer and just three times in the previous two combined, although one had resulted in a bracelet victory.

When it came time for Event #31: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed, Brunson dusted off his tournament chops and made a run.

Eveslage Left Short

Level 21 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Chad Eveslage
Chad Eveslage

Brandon "Lumiere" Conrad raised to 10,000 from early position. In the next position, Chad "Alienprobed" Eveslage three-bet to 31,333 and Conrad called.

The flop came down the {q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. Eveslage continued for 20,000 and Conrad called.

The turn was the {2-Spades}. Eveslage bet 30,000 to which Conrad shoved for 123,074, Eveslage took a moment and called.

He say the bad news as Eveslage's {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} was behind the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} of Conrad. The river was the {5-Spades} to send Conrad the huge pot and leave Eveslage to around ten big blinds.

Haynes Dispatches Klump

Level 21 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Levi "lvraiders16" Klump moved all in for 60,802 from middle position and Desmond "Deezz_Nutzz" Haynes jammed over the top from the small blind to isolate.

Desmond "Deezz_Nutzz" Haynes: {k-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Levi "lvraiders16" Klump: {j-Spades}{k-Spades}

Klump was way behind and failed to get lucky as the board ran out a lowly {5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.
