Van Auken Takes Chip Lead With Quads

Level 30 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Four players committed 48,000 to the middle after a raise and three calls. The flop came the {2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Shawn "loanmonster" Silber bet 106,500, Matthew "BraceletHUNT" Hunt called. Eric "8Bracelets" Van Auken jammed all in over the top for 867,284, Silver folded and Hunt called.

Van Auken had the set with the {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} while Hunt had the {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} overpair.

The turn ended it right there as the {2-Spades} binked off to give Van Auken quads and the chip lead of the tournament while Hunt was badly damaged.

Ragan Takes Chip Lead Via Two-Pair Over Two-Pair

Level 30 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

"WrecklessOne" raised to 48,000 from early position, Jordan "DroppinDimes" Ragan called.

The flop came the {k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. "WrecklessOne" bet 45,834 and was called.

The turn came the {7-Spades}. "WrecklessOne" fired again, this time for 185,751 and was called again.

The river was the {j-Spades}, "WrecklessOne" jammed enough to force Ragan all in who called.

Ragan had the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for two-pair, besting the inferior {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} two-pair of "WrecklessOne" to create a large chip shift and take the chip lead.

Illes Turns Nut Flush

Level 29 : 10,000/20,000, 2,500 ante

Eric "grownstacks" Hayes jammed from early position for 243,775, Matt "Mutt_Cutts" Iles called on the button.

Illes had the lead and was at risk with the [ahkh' vs the {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} of Hayes.

The flop hit Hayes as it came the {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{q-Hearts}. But the turn was the {2-Hearts} to bring in the nut flush for Illes. The {5-Diamonds} on the river was meaningless and Illes gathered in a big double while Hayes was left with fumes.
