Koon Fades a Lot of Outs to Double

Level 58 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Jason Koon raised it up to 230,000 and Gabor Szabo three-bet to 700,000. What followed was the four-bet jam by Koon and Szabo instantly called without asking for a count.

Jason Koon: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Gabor Szabo: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop gave Szabo a gutshot royal flush draw and Koon asked for a deuce, the rail behind him started chanting for it as well. Szabo picked up even more outs on the {j-Diamonds} turn as Koon now asked for the deuce of hearts.

With the {j-Spades} river, Koon improved to a full house and he doubled for 3,509,000 to take a solid lead in the heads-up duel.

Two for Szabo

Level 58 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Jason Koon raised the button to 230,000 and Gabor Szabo called to see a flop of {9-Spades}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

Szabo check-called a bet of 350,000 and then both players checked the {4-Clubs} turn. When the {q-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Szabo led out for what looked to be 1 million and Koon folded.

Not long after, Szabo limped the button and called when Koon raised to 400,000. Both players checked the {10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Spades} flop and then Koon check-folded to a bet of 700,000 on the {6-Diamonds} turn.

Szabo Pays Off Koon

Level 57 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Jason Koon lost a few small pots in quick succession and Gabor Szabo then limped in, prompting a raise to 325,000 by Koon and a call by the Hungarian. They checked all the way to the {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{a-Hearts} river on which Koon bet 400,000. Szabo gave it some consideration and called but mucked when Koon tabled the {q-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a pair of queens.

Szabo Flushes Koon

Level 57 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

With approximately 400,000 in the pot and a board reading {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{j-Spades}, Jason Koon bet 200,000 and was met by a raise to 900,000 from Gabor Szabo.

Koon pondered for a bit before flicking in a single chip to call, and that prompted Szabo to roll over the {k-Spades}{2-Spades} for a runner-runner spade flush.

It was good as Koon mucked.

Koon Jams Into Szabo

Level 57 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Jason Koon raised to 320,000 out of the big blind and Gabor Szabo limp-called to see a flop of {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Koon continued for 400,000 and Szabo called to then call another 850,000 on the {2-Diamonds} turn. That set up the triple barrel for Koon, who then jammed the {9-Clubs} river.

"Can you count it please?" Szabo inquired.

The shove was for 1,279,000 in total. After spending more than four minutes in the tank, Szabo folded and Koon nearly closed the gap. The hand itself lasted five minutes in the new level.
