Peck and Benson Tangle Twice

Level 21 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

On the final draw in a previous hand, Gary Benson patted and Vladimir Peck took one new card. Benson bet and Peck let go.

Soon after, Peck raised from under the gun and Benson defended. The Aussie Hall of Famer took two new cards and Peck took one for Benson to check-call. The same action repeated on the second draw and Benson check-called once more. They took one each on the final draw and checked.

Benson showed a pair of fives and Peck won the pot with {k-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}. "I went from a jack to a queen to a king," Peck mentioned in table chat. Benson then won some chips back when he made a jack against Carlos Rodriguez in the next hand.
