Monnette Doubles; Glaser Leads

Level 18

Seven Card Stud

Ben Yu: {7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} / {8-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds} / {k-Hearts}
John Monnette: {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} / {6-Hearts}{k-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Spades} / {x-}

John Monnette was all-in with split sixes and Ben Yu had raised with "nothing" as per the table chat but caught an open pair of jacks on fifth. Monnette regained the lead on sixth with nines and sixes but asked for a deuce, which would have given Yu superior two pair. YU bricked with a king and that secured the double.

In the meanwhile, the tides have changed once more as Daniel Negreanu chipped up a lot.

Benny Glaser then took the lead in the final hand of the level when he raised fifth against Marco Johnson.

Stud Hi-Lo

Marco Johnson: {x-}{x-} / {10-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} fold
Benny Glaser: {x-}{x-} / {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades}

Johnson was left with just a few full bets while Glaser leaped into the top spot.
