Noori Eliminated by Hellmuth and Monnette

Level 14

Stud Hi-Lo

Michael Noori: {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} / {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}
John Monnette: {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} / {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Phil Hellmuth: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}

Michael Noori was already awaiting his fate and tabled a missed flush draw and pair of kings. John Monnette had aces up for the high pot while Phil Hellmuth revealed a low and pair to earn the low portion of the pot. That sent Noori to the rail and he was soon followed by Norman Chad, who only had some 15,000 left and bowed out in an Omaha Hi-Lo hand.

Dirksen Survives

Level 14

Omaha Hi-Lo

Dustin Dirksen raised the button and Marco Johnson called in the small blind, Ben Yu three-bet out of the big blind and was called both ways. On the {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Dirksen ended up all-in and Johnson then check-called a bet on the {9-Hearts} turn. Johnson led the {8-Diamonds} river for Yu to call and revealed the {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

Yu had {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for the superior low and Dirksen won the most of it with {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

Sternheimer Takes One from Gaspard

Level 14

Hold'em

Action began when Phillip Sternheimer raised from the button, Gaspard three bet from the big blind and Sternheimer called.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Hearts}. Gaspard bet and Sternheimer raised. Gaspard called.

Both the turn and the river went check-check. Gaspard flipped over pocket deuces, but that was not any good as Sternheimer tabled pocket sixes for the winner.

Wong Out Before the Break

Level 14

Only 34 players remain and Jerry Wong is not among them.

In an Omaha Hi-Lo hand he was all-in preflop for just 22,000 and earned three callers. Philip Sternheimer eventually bet the turn and river of a {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board to isolate, forcing out Roland Israelashvili and Jean Gaspard eventually.

Sternheimer flashed the {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a flush and Wong mucked the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} to bust right before the remaining 34 players went on a scheduled 15-minute break.
