Philip Sternheimer is a British poker player best known for winning the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) for his first bracelet and $763,087.
Sternheimer first cashed at the WSOP in 2012, when his 252nd-place finish in the $10,000 Main Event earned him $38,453. His career in finance limited his ability to play in major live events, but he has still racked up some impressive results.
He won €115,000 after taking down a €25,000 NLHE High Roller on the Partouche Poker Tour in September 2012 and another €97,600 for a fourth-place finish in a €10,300 NLHE High Roller at the 2014 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) San Remo stop.
In June 2018, he won a $25,000 buy-in Eight Game tournament at the Aria Las Vegas for $275,000.
Sternheimer began frequenting high roller events and enjoyed some decent success. A fifth-place finish in the $25,000 H.O.R.S.E. at the 2022 WSOP came with $124,935. A couple of months later, Sternheimer finished third in a £50,000 Super High Roller at EPT London for £293,240.
After several WSOP final tables, including a third-place finish in the $10,000 Dealer's Choice Championship at the 2025 WSOP, Sternheimer finally realized his dream of winning a WSOP bracelet. He triumphed in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship for $763,087 and a gold WSOP bracelet.
