Kornuth Doubles Early

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

According to a player at the table, the preflop action began when the player in the cutoff mistakenly raised to 5,700 instead of 700. Chance Kornuth then three-bet in the small blind to 13,800 and his opponent decided to call.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{j-Spades} and Kornuth continued for 8,000. His opponent tanked and announced, "All in" and Kornuth quickly called.

The player in the cutoff held {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a stone bluff and Kornuth revealed {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

The turn and river bricked out and Kornuth doubled up in this first level of the tournament.
