Negreanu in The Mix

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Daniel Negreanu, who admitted to the table he has had more than a couple beers, just took his seat in the event.

A few hands after sitting, Negreanu raised to 2,700 under-the-gun and was called by Thomas Boivin in the big blind.

Both players checked on the {7-Hearts}{a-Spades}{7-Spades} flop and {3-Spades} turn, but Boivin led out for 2,500 when the {10-Diamonds} completed the board.

"What the f*** is that sh**?" Negreanu said. "That bet is gonna have problems."

Negreanu then raised to 17,300, which got a quick fold from Boivin. Negreanu then showed he held {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

"Nine-high!" Negreanu shouted as he scooped the pot.
