Riess Makes a Royal

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Jonathan Jaffe and Ryan Riess had all their chips in the middle preflop with Riess being at risk for a little under 100,000. Jaffe showed {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} but was dominated by the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} of Riess.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} to give Riess a flush draw and narrowed Jaffe's outs. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn locked up the pot for Riess but the {k-Diamonds} on the river improved Riess to a royal flush for the double up.
