Negreanu in The Mix

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Daniel Negreanu, who admitted to the table he has had more than a couple beers, just took his seat in the event.

A few hands after sitting, Negreanu raised to 2,700 under-the-gun and was called by Thomas Boivin in the big blind.

Both players checked on the {7-Hearts}{a-Spades}{7-Spades} flop and {3-Spades} turn, but Boivin led out for 2,500 when the {10-Diamonds} completed the board.

"What the f*** is that sh**?" Negreanu said. "That bet is gonna have problems."

Negreanu then raised to 17,300, which got a quick fold from Boivin. Negreanu then showed he held {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

"Nine-high!" Negreanu shouted as he scooped the pot.

Slobodskoy Stacking

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened to 3,500 in the small blind, and [Removed:499] called in the big blind.

Mateos continues for 4,000 on the {6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, and Slobodskoy called. Mateos then check-called a 6,400 bet from Slobodskoy on the {7-Diamonds} turn.

Mateos checked again on the {7-Diamonds} river, Slobodskoy bet 12,400, and Mateos folded.

Stewart Scoops Massive Pot

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Todd Stewart, under the gun, went to the flop against a player on the button and another opponent in the small blind. Each player put 13,200 in the pot preflop.

The small blind bet 16,000 on the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, Stewart jammed for 52,300, and only the small blind called.

Stewart was at risk going to the turn.

Todd Stewart: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Small Blind: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The small blind had plenty of outs, but the turn {8-Spades} and river {7-Diamonds} clinched a safe runout for Stewart.
