Welcome to Day 1 of Event #28: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed. The $1,000 buy-in has an 11.00 a.m. local start time that will give each player 20,000 starting chips and they will be playing a total of 17 40 minute levels to make it through to Day 2. There will be a 20-minute break after every 3 levels and a 75-minute dinner break after level 9, approximately 5:40 p.m.

Last time this event was held was 2019 and it was Luis Zedan who took home the World Series of Poker Gold Bracelet. Zedan defeated a player pool of 1,526 entries, which created a prize pool of $1,374,300. He won $236,673 after taking down Thida Ear heads up. Ear cashed for $146,196 for his efforts.

This event will allow one re-entry per player and all players stil remaining at the end of level 17 will restart at 12:00 p.m on Friday, October 15 and will be 60-minute levels. This is a three day structure which means the remaining five players a the end of Day 2 will come back for Day 3 on Saturday, October 16th.
