Jerod Smith

On a flop of {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, there was 3,500 in the middle and as the player in the small blind was thinking, Jerod Smith announced that he would like to bet the pot. The dealer then let him know that it was the small blind players' action. He then checked to Smith who was committed to the bet of 3,500.

The other four players in the hand quickly folded and when the action came back to the small blind he raised to 8,500. Smith only had 8,200 total and called quickly.

Jerod Smith: {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Small blind: {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Smith was behind his opponents' flopped set but the {10-Clubs} on the turn gave him a flush. Smith was able to avoid the board pairing when the {8-Spades} came on the river, sending him a full double up.
