Prather Essentially Doubles

Level 16

Razz

Michael Trivett: {x-}{x-} / {5-}{4-}{8-}{4-} / {x-}
John Prather: {x-}{x-} / {8-}{7-}{6-}{6-} / {x-}

John Prather had invested the vast majority of his stack and then bet with some 10,000 behind, which sent Michael Trivett into the tank. He eventually folded and Prather briefly showed his cards.

"I am not going to fold anymore when I have made an eight. If you have it, you have it," he said in table chat and Trivett nodded.

Williams Doubles Up Guo

Level 16

Limit Hold'em

David Williams was facing the short stack of Yuebin Guo on a flop of {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, and the money went all in at that point.

Yuebin Guo: {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
David Williams: {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Guo flopped a straight, leaving Williams drawing thin. The {k-} on the turn gave Williams outs, but a river {9-} left Guo with the best hand for the double up approaching the money bubble.

Gregorich Scores a Double

Level 16

Omaha Hi-Lo

Multiple bets were already in until the {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} turn between Mark Gregorich and Pearce Arnold. The latter jammed the turn for little more and Arnold sigh-called.

Mark Gregorich: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Pearce Arnold: {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Arnold needed a heart but instead, the {a-Clubs} river further improved Gregorich to a full house.

Sebastian Pauli: {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{x-} / {q-Clubs}

Barbara Enright folded on fourth when Donald Yucius bet and the cards of short stack Sebastian Pauli were then exposed. Both players made aces up but Yucius prevailed with aces and nines, as Pauli's aces and sixes were no good.

Prociak and Carlton Chop Multi-Way Pot

Level 16

Stud Hi-Lo

George Alexander: {x-}{x-} / {3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} / {x-}
David Prociak: {x-}{x-} / {8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades} / {x-}
Donald Yucius: {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds} / {x-} fold on seventh
Everett Carlton: {x-}{x-} / {4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {x-}
Sebastian Pauli: {x-}{x-} / {4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} fold on fourth

A five-way limped pot on third with Sebastian Pauli left on crumbs after losing a previous pot to Noah Bronstein. George Alexander bet all the way as the action checked to him and Donald Yucius was the only one to check-fold on seventh. Alexander only exposed the {a-Diamonds} for a low but Carlton had that beat with the {a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{x-} for the superior low.

David Prociak tabled {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for trips eights and won the high pot.

Heimiller Chips Up

Level 16

Omaha Hi-Lo

A large three-way pot emerged during which Amnon Filippi folded and would have made a full house according to table chat. However, it were only Dan Heimiller and Todd Dakake involved to the {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} river and it was Heimiller who tabled the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} as the winning hand.

"Wow, what a raise," Filippi lamented while still sitting on a stack of just under half a million. Dakake mucked and Heimiller earned the large pot with trips fives.

Moskowitz Makes the Flush

Level 16

Stud

A big three-way pot was developing when we joined the action on fourth street.

David Moskowitz: {x-}{x-} / {4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts} / {x-}
Salah Levy: {x-}{x-} / {10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} / {x-} folded on seventh
Tony Hartmann: {x-}{x-} / {3-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} / {x-}

David Moskowitz led the action by betting every street, and was called by Salah Levy and Tony Hartmann on three of them. Levy folded to Moskowitz's final bet on seventh street, and Hartmann took some time before calling with two pair. Moskowitz turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{4-Hearts}, saying he caught his flush with his final card to take down a massive pot.
