Back-to-Back Aces for Wise

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

There was a raise to 40,000 from under the gun and two players called before the action was on Adrian Wise in the big blind. Wise made it 200,000 to go and the initial raiser pushed all in for 480,000. The rest of the table folded and Wise snap-called.

Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Adrian Wise: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

The flop of {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} gave Wise a small sweat but the {4-Clubs} on the turn and the {9-Diamonds} on the river secured the pot for Wise. After the hand, his tablemates discussed whether he got the same aces back-to-back after just having them in the previous hand as well.

Simao Snaps the River

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Joao Simao opened to 30,000 from under the gun and the action folded around to the big blind who called. The flop came {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and both players checked to the {a-Spades} on the turn.

The big blind checked again and Simao checked behind. The {q-Spades} hit the river and the big blind moved all-in for 65,000. Simao instantly called and the big blind showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Simao flipped over {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for a set of kings and eliminated his opponent.

Gould Out-Flops His Opponent

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Alec Gould opened to 25,000 in middle position and the small blind re-raised to 80,000. Gould called and the two players saw a flop of {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. The small blind led out with a bet of 60,000 and Gould announced all in. The small blind instantly called off his stack of 168,000 and the cards were tabled.

Small Blind: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Alec Gould: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Gould flopped a set of nines and had his opponent drawing to just two outs. The {7-Hearts} on the turn and the {7-Diamonds} on the river only improved Gould to a full house who now has one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Hallaert Rivers a Set

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

There was an all-in for 35,000 in early position and the action folded around to Kenny Hallaert in the small blind. Hallaert just called the 12,000, not realizing there was an all-in before him. Once clarified, Hallaert called the 35,000 and the big blind folded.

Hallaert showed {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and was up against the {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} of his opponent. The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Hallaert fell behind to the two pair. The {3-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing but the {10-Diamonds} on the river gave Hallaert a set of tens to score the knockout.
