Day 2 has come to a close and just five players remain in Event #39: Pot-Limit Omaha. It’s Josh Arieh (6,330,000) who bagged the chip lead heading into the final day on Friday.

The remaining players will compete for the $204,766 first-place prize and a coveted WSOP gold bracelet. The other players to bag are Ivan Deyra (5,110,000), Gabriel Andrade (1,400,000), Tommy Le (5,300,000), and Robert Blair (2,450,000).

Bustouts came at a rapid pace to start the day. The field was whittled down to 16 within the first five hours of play. From then on, the action slowed to a crawl. It took another three hours of play to get to the unofficial final table. Those who fell short of the final five players included Ashor Ochana (9th - $15,842), Charles Wilt (8th - $20,371), Lior Abudi (7th - $26,603), and Nitesh Rawtani (6th - $35,278).

Nitesh Rawtani got his short stack all in to the middle after the flop of {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and was called by Ivan Deyra.

Rawtani had the {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} but was up against it as Deyra had the {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} for trips.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and the river the {9-Spades} and Rawtani's night was over after having been chip leader at the final table.

Arieh Doubles Through Rawtani

Josh Arieh raised to 160,000 from the button and both Ivan Deyra and Nitesh Rawtani called from the blinds.

Things escalated quickly on the {j-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop. Arieh bet 250,000, Deyra folded and Rawtani bet the pot. Arieh instantly potted right back and Rawtani called to put Arieh at risk.

Deyra's Hot Streak Continues

The turn was the {2-Spades}. From the big blind, Gabriel Andrade bet 275,000, Ivan Deyra called from the button, as did Nitesh Rawtani from the small blind.

The river came the {a-Diamonds}. It checked to Deyra on the button, who cut out a big bet of 1,175,000. Rawtani called, and Andrade quickly folded.

Deyra showed the {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for the nut flush and took down the large pot.

From the button, Nitesh Rawtani raised, Lior Abudi three-bet from the big blind, and Rawtani called.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Abudi bet pot and was raised until he was all in which he called.

Abudi had aces with the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} but he was in trouble as he had been out flopped by the {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} two-pair of Rawtani.

The turn was the {k-Spades} and the river came the {j-Hearts} to not help Abudi and just like that he was sent home in seventh place.
