Set of Aces for Chen

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante
James Chen
James Chen

An early position player opened and a late position player called, as did David Benyamine in the small blind and James Chen in the big blind.

The initial raiser bet around 4,000 on the flop of {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and the late position player folded, while Benyamine and Chen both called.

The {a-Hearts} turn checked through and Chen led out with a bet of 15,000 on the {j-Diamonds} river. Only Benyamine called.

Chen showed the best hand with {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for a set of aces and Benyamine mucked.

Scott Ball
Scott Ball

With over 30,000 in the pot and {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} on the board, Scott Ball was all-in for a little less than 10,000. There were three callers who checked all the way down to the river.

Ball turned over {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{x-}{x-} for a straight, but his opponent turned over {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for sevens full of tens to take the pot and send Ball to the rail early in Day 1.
