Benyamine Eliminated in Huge Pot Against Morris

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Tommy Le raised to 35,000 and Arthur Morris three-bet to 100,000 in the cutoff. David Benyamine then reraised the pot to 347,000 in the small blind and Le was sent into a short tank before he then folded. Morris called after some 15 seconds of consideration and they headed to the flop.

Almost immediately, Benyamine jammed for around 500,000 and Morris talked more to himself than his opponent. "I guess you have aces there," Morris whispered and then called for a big portion of his remaining stack.

The turn changed nothing yet for Morris but he indeed got there on the river with the bottom end of the straight to score a pot of more than 1.75 million chips.

JC Tran opted to check-call a bet worth 50,000 on the flop and then got his remaining chips in after the turn when facing further aggression by Daniel Zack.

Adam Hendrix raised it up to get called by Sam Soverel and Nathan Zimnik raised the pot. Hendrix then repotted and Soverel went with it, Zimnik made it a three-way all-in.

Sandrock Soaring Over a Million

Day 1 chip leader Chris Sandrock more than survived his challenging first table, and while he's since been moved, he still has bracelet winners JC Tran and Aaron Wallace at his table.

Wallace Survives Four-Way All-In; Imsirovic and Beauprez Eliminated

The phone cameras were grabbing a four-way all-in over on table 427 as the action had escalated with the flop showing with three players at risk against big stack Chris Sandrock.

Sandrock spiked the turn and another player at the table remarked "see, you can't lose". There was one more card to come which happened to be the river and that improved Wallace to a full house. He survived the carnage and almost quadrupled up while Ali Imsirovic and John Beauprez were eliminated.

Rheem Eliminated by Younes

Three players from early position limped, including Nader Younes under the gun. Tony Hartmann called in the small blind, and Chino Rheem checked to see a flop. All five players checked around on the flop, and Hartmann took the lead after the turn. Rheem raised the pot, only to see Younes re-raise enough to put both blinds all in. The other early position players folded, as did Hartmann, but Rheem called and flipped over his cards.

Montgomery Busts Hyman

Kyle Montgomery raised to 5,500 and was called by Michael Perrone in the small blind. Jared Hyman then raised to 22,000 in the big blind and was called by both opponents. On the flop, Perrone checked and Hyman did so as well for Montgomery to bet 25,000 and earn two calls.

The turn was checked to Montgomery, who announced pot. Perrone folded while Hyman called all-in for what appeared to be nearly 100,000.

"I need a five or three," Hyman said in table chat. However, the five was dead as Montgomery would have made the superior full house. Only a trey would do and the river was a blank to send Hyman to the rail.

Chip Leader's Table Gets Tougher

As mentioned in our Day 2 preview, chip leader Chris Sandrock had one of the toughest tables in the room to look forward to, with Dominykas Karmazinas, Simon Mattsson, and Brandon Shack-Harris joining him.

Well, that table just got even tougher as one of the late registrants, Stephen Chidwick just sat to his direct left.

It should be an interesting day for Sandrock at table 435.
