Lord Tank-Calls Correctly

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Kristan Lord
Kristan Lord

Pot-Limit Omaha

Nicholas Julia raised to 160,000 on the button and Kristan Lord called in the big blind. Both checked the {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and Lord then bet the {3-Clubs} turn for 230,000, which Julia called. Lord checked the {k-Hearts} river and Julia bet the pot.

That sent Lord into the tank for more than three minutes and he then called. "You got it," Julia announced without exposing his cards. Lord tabled the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} and that won the pot.

"It was the same as last time ... I had something," Julia added.

Lord Gets Some Back

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud

Kristan Lord: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts} / {5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Nicholas Julia: {x-}{x-} / {q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{a-Diamonds} / {x-}

Nicholas Julia started pulling away further but Kristan Lord was able to cut back the deficit by some soon after. Julia bet fourth and fifth to receive a call and Lord then bet sixth when he paired the five, earning a call. Lord also bet seventh and Julia called to get shown {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for trips fives as the winning hand.

"I didn't see the rest of your board but you were dead to the five," Julia commented after the hand.

Lord Folds to Three-Bet

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Rapid-fire hands in the No-Limit Hold'em round brought very little action. The most notable hand brought a button raise to 155,000 by Kristan Lord. "Raise it," Nicholas Julia announced and made it 450,000 to go. Lord tanked for a bit and folded. Previously, Julia had received a walk and flashed the {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

Justin Liberto Eliminated in 3rd Place ($69,341)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Justin Liberto
Justin Liberto

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

The action was picked up after the first draw with Justin Liberto who led out and was raised by Kristan Lord. Liberto made the call.

The second draw each player drew one and Liberto check-called all-in for less the bet by Lord.

The final draw Lord stood pat and Liberto drew one. Next, both hands were tabled and it was the {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} held by Lord that notched the {8-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} held by Liberto, and the latter was eliminated in 3rd place and took home $69,341 in cash.

Julia Remains With a Big Lead

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

No big pots played out in the next variant and Nicholas Julia retained his big lead. He was involved in a single-raised battle of the blinds with short stack Justin and discarded two while Justin Liberto took one. They checked after the draw and Julia's {q-}{10-}{7-}{4-}{3-} for a queen-ten low won the pot.
