Welcome to Day 1 of Event #62: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, which will kick off this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. local (PST) time.

The 2019 reigning champion of this unique event is the four-time WSOP gold bracelet winner and current WSOP POY Point Leader Anthony Zinno.

Last time out, Zinno bested a field of 1,117 entrants to secure the second WSOP gold bracelet of his career.

With two bracelets already locked up this series in WSOP in Event #19: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship and Event #27: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E., Zinno will look to continue on his impressive run in this one.

Three to Begin Play

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

The current number of entrants is 231 with the total expected to be much, much higher. The tables are set up to accommodate that increase, so the tournament director has instructed the dealers to begin dealing with three or more players at their table, which has most tables beginning play shorthanded with only three, four, or five players.

Slow Start

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

The number of entrants has reached only 279 entrants thus far. Additionally, the short-handed start for most tables seems to have slowed down play from the start.
