Edgell Leaves Tuil Short

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

With over 110,000 chips already in the middle the board read {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Teddy Tuil fired out a bet of 45,000. Joshua Edgell snap called and Tuil tabled {k-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for the top pair. Edgell showed him the bad news though when he tabled {j-Spades}{9-Spades} for two pair on the river.

Thakker Eliminates Tan

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Johnny Tan shoved in middle position for 76,000 and Nilesh Thakker called in the cutoff. The button and blinds quickly folded and both hands were tabled.

Johnny Tan: {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Nilesh Thakker: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Tan picked up an open-ended straight draw on the {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop but the {3-Hearts} on the turn and the {4-Clubs} on the river were bricks and he was sent to the payout desk.

Freitas Withstands Four-Bet

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Aleksei Shaburo raised from the button, Ana Freitas three-bet from the big blind, Shaburo four-bet and Freitas called.

Action was then picked up on the flop of {3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Clubs} with a large pot of already 400,000 in the middle. Shaburo continued with a bet of 120,000 and Frietas called.

The turn was the {7-Spades}, both players checked. The river was the {9-Diamonds} and it went check-check again.

Freitas tabled the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} which was good enough as Shaburo mucked to send the large pot across the table.
