Carlton Likely Forces a Fourth Day of Play

Level 24
Everett Carlton
Everett Carlton

With a hard stop at the end of the level looming, Everett Carlton appears to have forced a fourth day of play after winning maybe the largest pot of heads-up play.

Everett Carlton: {x-}{x-}/{7-}{6-}{k-}{3-}/{x-}
Benny Glaser: {x-}{x-}/{9-}{4-}{9-}{7-}/{x-}

On third street, Carlton limped in behind Glaser's bring-in, then check-called bets on fourth and fifth streets.

Things got interesting on sixth, as Carlton led out with a bet for the first time in the hand, but got raised by Glaser, despite showing a pair on board.

Carlton called the raise, then bet again on seventh, sending Glaser into the proverbial blender.

Glaser appeared visibly frustrated for the first time all night, shaking his head and saying that he should have just folded the hand earlier. Ultimately, he flicked a calling chip in the direction of Carlton.

Carlton showed {k-}{8-}{4-} for an eight-seven, and Glaser lobbed his cards toward the muck.
