Oxman Eliminated By Karlins

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ari Oxman raised his last 18,000 into the middle from early position and Marvin Karlins snap-called him from middle position. The action folded around and Karlins said "I have a pair."

Marvin Karlins: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Ari Oxman: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

On the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} gave Oxman a pair of tens which pulled him ahead, but Karlins had a diamond flush draw to still have some outs. The turn came the {a-Spades}, which gave him aces and tens, but the river came the {9-Clubs}. Oxman slammed the table as Karlins had hit a set of nines to eliminate him from the tournament.

The tournament clock reads 82 players with only eleven more eliminations until the bubble.

Alexander's Kings Hold

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The action was picked up with cards on their backs with James Alexander all-in and at risk with another player having called him.

James Alexander: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

"We need to not get unlucky," he shouted to his friend a few tables over.

His wish was granted as the board of {8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs} was in fact, not unlucky for him and he got a full double through his opponent.

Vieira Doubles Up

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Joao Vieira moved all-in under the gun for 48,000 and action folded around to the big blind who called.

Joao Vieira: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}

The flop and turn of {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} provided no improvement for Vieira and he was all but out of here when the {a-Spades} on the river gave him aces and jacks to stay alive in the tournament.
