Brunson Correctly Makes Difficult Fold

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante
Doyle Brunson
Doyle Brunson

In a hand from the PokerGo livestream, Chau Nguyen limped for 500 under the gun with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Doyle Brunson just called with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. Eliran Yamin called from the small blind with {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and then David Lolis checked {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} out of the big blind.

The flop came {2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Yamin quickly led for 1,000. Lolis folded right away, while Nguyen and “Texas Dolly” called.

When the {a-Spades} hit on the turn, Yamin checked and Brunson finally began the aggression with a big hand, betting out 3,500. Nguyen refused to go away and called.

The river {10-Hearts} was a cruel card for the 10-time bracelet winner. Nguyen, who picked up a full house, checked. Brunson bet 12,000 and was check-raised to 30,000.

Brunson sniffed out the monster hand and correctly, and found a fold. Instead of losing most of his stack, Doyle still had over 70,000 chips.
