Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Cole Ferraro
Cole Ferraro

Cole Ferraro won the Event #61: $600 Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold'em in last year's World Series of Poker for $ 252,491 and is back at it, trying to add another piece of hardware to his collection.

WSOP Circuit Ring leader Maurice Hawkins is also in the building. Despite winning 14 rings, Hawkins is still looking for that elusive first bracelet.

Also seated in the black section are poker Twitter personalities Veronica Brill and Jerod Smith.

Rumjahn Scores Early Knockout with Full House Over Trips

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

With 5,000 already in the pot on a {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} board, Alex Rumjahn in the cutoff got himself into a battle with an opponent seated in the hijack position.

Eventually, both players put their full stacks in the middle, with Rumjahn's {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} trumping his opponent's {a-Spades}{7-Hearts} to take down a massive early pot and send his opponent to the rail.

Orlick Makes Correct Call

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Three players each put in 1,700 preflop to see the {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop. The action checked Greg Orlick in the cutoff who bet 3,300 and he found one caller.

The turn {q-Hearts} put four to a straight out there and both players checked to the {7-Clubs} river.

Orlick's opponent led for 5,500 and he went into the tank. After about a minute he tossed in a call.

His opponent revealed {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for a pair of kings but Orlick confidently showed his {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} set to take down the pot.

Lawless Cracks Kings with Jacks

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

Jason Lawless got his full stack in from the middle position with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} but was unfortunate to run into {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} from under the gun.

However, he was able to crack the kings with a {3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} runout to get the full double-up and return to above starting stack.

Wells Straightens Out His Opponent

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

A completed board of {5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} was showing with about 23,000 already in the middle. Weston Wells moved all-in for 25,000, enough to cover his opponent.

After a couple of minutes in the tank, the player begrudgingly jammed his whole stack in to declare a call.

Wells turned over his {8-Spades}{6-Spades} for a straight, while his opponent revealed his {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} two pair before exiting the tournament area.
