Dardon Turns Quads

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Action picked up on a completed board of {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} with three players involved, with around 26,000 in the middle.

The big blind blind checked to Rachel Dardon in middle position, who bet 8,600. The button called, and the big blind folded.

Dardon cooly turned over {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, making four-of-a-kind on the turn, for an unbeatable hand.

Her opponent on the button didn't show and the pot was pushed her way.

"I had queens," the button remarked after the hand was over.

Farrell Busts Level 2, Dentale Chipping Up

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Niall Farrell suffered a beat early doors and had been nursing a short stack for a number of hands. He got it in as the under-the-gun player and the button both limped, shoving from the small blind for 8,600. Under-the-gun called and the button folded out of the way.

Niall Farrell: {j-Spades}{9-Spades}
Under-the-Gun: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

The flop gave Farrell hope as it fell {3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, but he couldn't hit the gutshot with the board running out {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}.

Elsewhere, Mike Dentale had also lost a few hands and at one point had 1,000 chips remaining. He has slowly built back to 6,500.

Shiller Picks Off River Bluff

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

With four players in the hand in a pot of roughly 4,500 and a flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades} action was on Brendan Shiller in the big blind who bet 2,500. Middle position folded, Michael Meiterman called and the small blind got out of the way.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Shiller bet 5,500 which was called by Meiterman.

When the {9-Spades} hit the river Shiller was cutting out a bet but before he could act Meiterman threw out a bet of 7,000 out of turn. Shiller then decided on a check which meant the 7,000 would stand and he eventually tossed in the chips to make the call.

Meiterman rolled over {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a rivered pair and missed straight draw. Shiller showed {q-Spades}{10-Spades} for top pair, enough to win the pot.

Figueroa All-In Early

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Action was picked up on the turn with Armando Figueroa on the button staring at an all in bet from his opponent. There was roughly 25,000 in the middle, and his opponent from the big blind had placed 6 red 5,000 chips in front of them, covering his remaining 14,200 stack.

The board read {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

"Ah well, I guess I can always rebuy." he said, as he thought through his options. "Ok, I call, I have outs."

Armando Figueroa: {3-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Big blind: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

With nine outs, Armando was at risk and behind.

The river fell {8-Spades} though, giving Figueroa a rivered straight and taking him above starting stack.

Kweskin Gets Needed Double-Up

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Seif Doubles Early

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante
Mark Seif
Mark Seif

Mark Seif was sharing a table with Lara Eisenberg and Kathy Liebert, when he got involved in a big hand in the opening hour of the tournament.

In middle position Self raised 3,600, after a player in the big blind bet 600. From the cutoff another player raised to 8,600, and after it folded around back to Seif, he called.

The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, and both players checked to see the turn {3-Clubs}, which Seif bet 7,700. The player to his left called and they went to the river heads up.

The river was the {8-Clubs}, and Seif went all in for 20,000. His opponent in the cutoff thought for a full minute before making the call, and Seif tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for a flopped set.

The player in the cutoff turned over {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, and Seif scooped the pot for an early double up.
