Doan Commits to Stone-Cold Big Blind Bluff, Gets Paid

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The player under the gun opened for 40,000 and the button called. Chris Doan, from the big blind, three-bet to 120,000 and the under-the-gun player four-bet to 225,000. The button folded and Doan called.

The flop came {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and the under-the-gun player continued for 150,000. Doan called.

The turn came the {5-Clubs} and the under-the-gun player bet 175,000. Doan ripped it all-in for 740,000 total and sent his opponent deep into the tank.

His opponent was visibly confused and with his six-minute tank and an enormous pot in the middle, the hand drew an audience from other tables. Finally, the player folded.

Doan proudly tabled the {k-Clubs}{9-Spades} for an absolute stone-cold bluff, with the word quickly spreading around the Bally's Ballroom.
