Steinman and Hall Among Chip Leaders After Flip Stage and First Day of 2022 WSOP $1,000 FLIP & GO
Another day of hot poker action took place at the World Series of Poker 2022 at Bally's & Paris Casino Las Vegas, with Event #24: $1,000 FLIP & GO No-Limit Hold'em being the focus of these updates.
Some 157 players made it through the Flip stage of this unique tournament, which draws its inspiration from the GGPoker's online variant bearing the same name. Those 157 players who made it through the Flip stage were whittled to a final 27 over the course of 12 levels. The total prize pool is $1,182,810 and $187,770 is reserved for the eventual champion.
Christopher Chatman bagged up the most chips at the close of play; his 2,320,000 stack was the only one in excess of two million chips.

One-time bracelet winners Ian Steinman (1,665,000) and Galen Hall (1,470,000) are among the chip leaders after Day 1. They along with 25 others returnto the action on June 13 at 12 p.m. local time to battle for a bracelet and the $187,770 grand prize.
Other notables who return for Day 2 include bracelet winners Georgios Sotiropoulos (695,000) and Mike Matusow (520,000).
Notable eliminations towards the end of the day included Brits Nick Marchington and Seun Oluwole in addition to last years Main Event champion Koray Aldemir.
Aldemir busted after moving his short stack all-in with ace-queen from the small blind but was eliminated after Jeremy Eyer called in the big blind with ace-four and paired their four. Other players who made the money included Jeff Gross, Patrick Leonard and David Peters.
