Day 2 of Event #25: $800 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack Begins at 1 p.m. with 240 Returning Players

Day 2 of Event #25: $800 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack kicks off today at 1:00 p.m. here at the 2022 World Series of Poker. Only 240 of the starting field of 4,062 entrants remain in contention, having locked up at least $2,222 each out of the $2,859,648 prize pool after they invested just $800 to be here. First place pays $358,346 and a shiny new WSOP gold bracelet.

Ahmed Nimer comes back as chip leader with more than two million (2,385,000). The top three stacks also include: Alexander Tafesh (1,915,000) and Zachary Andrews (1,830,000). Bracelet winners Will Givens (1,060,000) and Anatolii Zyrin (1,000,000) bagged seven-figure stacks as well.

With a pot of 125,000, Dean Hutchison bet 35,000 from middle position when checked to heads up against the small blind. Hutchison got the call from Manuel Machado on the {10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop.

Onwards to the turn and in flow, Hutchison continued for 150,000. Once again Machado, the Portuguese player called.

The {7-Spades} completed the board and when checked to, the Brit sized up to 300,000 chips. Machado called him down and the man from Glasgow took it down after tabling {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a flopped flush.
