Song Busts Another

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Playing four handed, Thibault Renard opened to 20,000 from the cutoff. Kevin Song three-bet to 55,000. Renard called and went to the flop heads up.

The flop came {q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. Renard checked to Song who continued for 65,000. Renard elected to call.

On the {7-Spades} turn, Renard checked once more. Song bet 105,000. After some thought, Renard called.

The river fell the {4-Hearts} and Renard checked. Song thought for a while before announcing "all in," a bet of 450,000 effective. With his tournament on the line, Renard thought for about three minutes before making the call.

Song showed {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Renard looked at his cards, bent them tightly, and threw them into the muck before they could be revealed. Song took down the pot to give him a large percentage of the chips at his table with only two players standing between him and Day 3.
