Two Barrels Work for Cowen

Level 28 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Robert Cowen raised to 550,000 on the button with the {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and he was called by one of the two short stacks in Dash Dudley, who defended the {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} in the big blind. On the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Spades} flop, Dudley check-called for 300,000 and checked again the {7-Clubs} on the turn.

Cowen now bet 1,250,000 and Dudley gave up.

Karakitukov Takes a Pot Against Cowen

Level 28 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Robert Cowen lost a small hand without showdown against Ben Lamb and was then in a limped battle of the blinds in which he held {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} for top and bottom hand on the {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop. The Brit checked and Veselin Karakitukov bet 400,000 into 750,000 with {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a set of tens.

After the {k-Clubs} turn, both players checked and the {6-Clubs} fell on the river. Cowen checked again and Karakitukov bet 1,100,000 into 2,650,000 for the Brit to tank-fold.

Dash Dudley raised to 550,000 from under the gun with the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Veselin Karakitukov came along in the big blind with the {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}. On the {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop, Karakitukov checked and Dudley bet 700,000 into 1,400,000 to win the pot right there.

Robert Cowen then raised to 550,000 and Dudley three-bet the pot in the small blind. The Brit then jammed for 5,975,000 and Dudley immediately said "for like six?" before he made the call a few seconds later.

"Aces double suited against a rundown," Cowen announced to his rail as the cards were turned over.

Robert Cowen: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Dash Dudley: {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Cowen doubled into the lead.

Premium Hand But No Action for Karakitukov

Level 27 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Robert Cowen opened to 450,000 with the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Veselin Karakitukov as the now shortest stack reraised the pot to 1,650,000 with the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Dash Dudley gave it some thought in the small blind with the {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and he folded, as did all other players.

Dudley Takes a Narrow Lead

Level 27 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Ben Lamb limped the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} in the small blind and Robert Cowen checked the {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} in the big blind. On the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop, both checked and Lamb check-called 225,000 on the {8-Spades} turn. They checked the {2-Spades} river and Lamb won the pot.

In the next hand, Dash Dudley raised to 550,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds} from under the gun and Veselin Karakitukov defended the {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}. The {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop went check, check, and Karakitukov led the {2-Spades} turn for 850,000. Dudley called after brief consideration and called.

On the {q-Spades} river, both players checked and Dudley won the pot to take a narrow lead.

Cowen Hits a Straight Against Lamb

Level 27 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Robert Cowen raised first to act with the {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} and was called by Ben Lamb with the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} in the big blind. They checked the {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop and Lamb bet half the pot for 550,000 on the {5-Diamonds} turn, which Cowen called.

After the {6-Spades} river, Cowen improved to a nine-high straight and Lamb checked for Cowen to take the conservative line and check it back in order to win the pot.

Dudley Successfully Bluffs Lamb

Level 27 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

In a limped pot to the {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} flop, Dash Dudley checked his option with the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Ben Lamb bet 350,000 with the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, which Dudley called. Both checked the {9-Hearts} on the turn and neither player connected with the {7-Clubs} river.

Dudley bet 550,000 into 1,300,000 and Lamb grinned as he said "I wanted to raise you ... I wanted to make it 1.4" all the while sending the cards into the muck.

Lamb Takes the Lead From Karakitukov

Level 27 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

Ben Lamb opened the action with a button raise once the blinds had gone up and his {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} flopped a full house on the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop. Veselin Karakitukov in the big blind checked with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and subsequently called a bet worth 325,000 by Lamb, who further improved on the {q-Spades} turn.

Karakitukov checked once more and Lamb bet 950,000 for the Bulgarian to call as they headed to the {q-Clubs} on the river. The third check by Karakitukov was met with a bet worth 3,150,000 by Lamb, which eventually forced the fold from his opponent.
