Hastings Crushing Since Dinner

Level 23
Brian Hastings
Brian Hastings

It's been all Brian Hastings since dinner and he has chipped up over five million chips. Remember, there's only seven million chips in play!

The latest addition to his stack came after the second draw when Dan Zack bet and Hastings raised. Zack called and both players stood pat.

Zack check-called a bet, but mucked when Hastings showed {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the winner.

Wasserson Holds To Win Large Three-Way Pot

Level 23

Picking up the action after the first draw, Eric Wasserson in the small blind, Shaun Deeb in the big blind and Brian Hastings on the button were involved in what was already a large pot.

Wasserson checked to Deeb, who bet. Hastings called behind him and action was back to Wasserson, who decided to raise. Both Deeb and Hastings called to maintain three-way action heading to the second draw.

On the second draw, Wasserson stood pat while Deeb and Hastings both took one. Wasserson then followed up his earlier aggression with a bet, which Deeb and Hastings called.

The same drawing pattern was repeated during the final draw, after which action checked through. Wasserson tabled {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-}, which his two opponents had been unable to outdraw, sending a large pot Wasserson's way.

Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb raised and called off his remaining stack against Brian Hastings.

Buoyed by choruses of "Stingerrrr" by both Daniel Zack and Eric Wasserson, Hastings drew three, two and two against Deeb's two, one and one.

On the end Hastings drew {j-}{8-} to go with his {8-}{6-}{5-} with Deeb drawing a {9-} to accompany his {8-}{6-}{3-}{2-} to double up.

"Cover Dan! Cover Dan!" chanted Deeb as he eyed his fellow short stack at the table.

Daniel Zack Eliminated in 3rd Place ($129,670)

Level 23
Dan Zack
Dan Zack

Action folded around to Eric Wasserson in the small blind who raised. Daniel Zack in the big blind responded with a three-bet, which Wasserson called.

On the first draw, Wasserson drew two cards to Zack's three, prompting Wasserson to query, "Three, really?". Wasserson then led out and was called.

The second draw saw Wasserson take one card and Zack two. Wasserson then bet enough to put Zack all in. Zack made the call for his tournament life.

Both players stood pat on the final draw, after which Zack showed down {9-}{8-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. It was no good, however, as Wasserson held {9-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}, ending Zack's impressive run in third place.
