Wasserson Leaves Raging Hellmuth Short

Level 18

Phil Hellmuth opened under the gun and was called by Eric Wasserson on the button. The blinds got out of the way to send the two players heads up to the initial draw.

On the first draw Hellmuth took one card while Wasserson drew two. Hellmuth then led into Wasserson, who made the call.

The second draw saw both players stand pat after which Hellmuth check-called a bet from Wasserson.

Hellmuth discarded the {8-Hearts} face up during the final draw and Wasserson again stood pat. Hellmuth checked and then instantly folded to a bet from Wasserson, who showed the table he held {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}, prompting Hellmuth to exclaim, "The one guy who overplays his fucking hands against me makes the fucking wheel!"
