This summer, Golden Nugget Las Vegas will play host to the 14th Annual Grand Poker Series, which features 81 events and offers over $3 million in guaranteed prize money from May 31-July 3. One of those events is the $1,100 buy-in, $1,000,000 Guaranteed PokerNews Cup that will run from June 24-28.

The tournament will feature three starting flights beginning with Day 1a at 11 a.m. PT on Friday, June 24. Days 1b and 1c will take place at the same time on Saturday, June 25, and Sunday, June 26 respectively. The surviving players from each flight will return at Noon on Monday, June 27 to play down to the final table, which will play out at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28.

On the first hand back from dinner break, Richard Bai raised from under the gun before James Morgan reraised. Bai called to see the {2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop.

Bai check-called a bet and went all in for his last 650,000 on the {10-Hearts} turn. Morgan called with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and was ahead of Bai's {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

The river came the {q-Clubs} and Morgan won the pot with his king-kicker to eliminate Bai in fourth place.

Albini Survives

Steven Albini managed to bet most of his chips before the flop and was facing off against Jason Daly.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Albini pushed the rest of it in with his {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Daly called and showed the {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

The turn was the {j-Hearts} and the river the {6-Spades} giving Albini the double.

On the very next hand, Albini raised from the small blind and was call edin the big blind by Daly.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, Daly called a bet, and then folded on the {a-Hearts} turn after a second barrel from Albini.
