The 53rd annual World Series of Poker at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas continues with Event #34: $1,500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em. This is a three-day event that will kick off today at 11:00 a.m. PDT.

Chad Himmelspach is the current defending champion, having won $207,877 in last year's event along with his first WSOP bracelet. HImmelspach bested a field of 1,191 entries that ended in an intense three-hour heads-up battle against Stefan Reiser before being crowned as champion.

Players will start the day with a stack of 25,000 in chips and Level 1 blinds will be 100/100 with 100 big blind ante. For Day 1, levels will be 40 minutes, with a 20-minute break every three levels. There will be a 75-minute dinner break after Level 9, at approximately 5:40 p.m. and the players will complete 17 levels before they call it a night and bag their chips for Day 2.

Late registration will be open until the end of the dinner break after Level 9 which should be around 6:55 p.m. if things kick off in time. As this event is a freezeout, reentries will not be possible for players who fail to win their final all-in.

Hough Rivers Full House

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

About 30 minutes into Level 1 in the big blind position, Alaska's Chris Hough was all in for 15,000 with a board of {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts} showing.

The pot was around 17,000 and Hough's opponent on the button was contemplating whether or not to call and sat in the tank before finally shoving his chips all in for less than Hough's.

Hough showed {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for eights full of sevens and his opponent chucked his cards into the muck as he left the table.
