Shak Dancing After Drawing Two All-In And Hitting Nuts

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

Dan Shak had moved all in for his last 71,000 under-the-gun and David Lambard called out of the big blind.

Lambard stood pat on {9-}{8-}{7-}{4-}{3-} and Shak needed help with his {5-}{2-}{4-}. The poker Gods were shinning on Shak in that moment as he drew two and peeled {7-} then {3-} for the nuts to survive.

Shak got up out of his chair and had to go for a happy walk after that hand. 16 players remain still.

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante

Eli Elezra opened to 20,000 in the cutoff, Jerry Wong raised to 75,000 in the small blind, and Thomas Newton moved all in for 94,000 in the big blind. Elezra folded and Wong called.

Wong thought about it before drawing one, and Newton drew one as well.

Thomas Newton: {9-}{8-}{7-}{3-} / {x-}
Jerry Wong: {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} / {x-}

Wong picked up a {j-} and Newton peeled a {10-} to claim the pot and secure the double.

Johns Tanks to Wong

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 9,000 ante

Mark Johns opened to 18,000 from middle position and Jerry Wong raised to 55,000 on the button. Action folded back to Johns who called.

Both players stood pat.

Johns checked and Wong bet 125,000, sending his opponent into the tank for several minutes.

"That's a good bet, man," Johns remarked before he eventually decided to send his cards into the muck.
