Ponakovs and Ivey Keep Battling

Level 21 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Phil Ivey limped in from the small blind with {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 775,000 in the big blind with {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. The flop came {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {7-Diamonds} on the turn. Ponakovs finally threw in a bet of 650,000 and Ivey relinquished.

A few hands later, Ivey raised to 550,000 on the button with {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Ponakovs re-raised to 1,850,000 in the small blind with {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Ivey laid his hand down and Ponakovs raked in another pot.

Ivey tried limping in from the small blind with {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Ponakovs checked his option holding {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. The flop came {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Ivey checked to Ponakovs who bet 250,000. Ivey called and the {9-Spades} landed on the turn.

Ivey checked again and Ponakovs counted out a bet of 775,000. Ivey check-raised to 2,500,000 and Ponakovs was forced to ditch his cards.
