Patrick Lacey opened on the button and Robert Covert shoved with the larger stack out of the small blind. The big blind folded and Lacey wasted little time before calling off for his tournament life.

Lacey was at risk and would need to win what was essentially a coinflip to survive. He had one foot out of the door, however, after the {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop and the {j-Diamonds} turn left him drawing thin. The {10-Spades} river officially ended Lacey's tournament early on Day 2. Covert, meanwhile, has surged to over 1,500,000 to place him among the big stacks in the room.
