Favourable Runout Awards Pot to Wasserson

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Eric Wasserson
Eric Wasserson

Razz

Eric Wasserson: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{2-}{3-}
Philip Long: {x-}{x-} / {6-}{2-}{6-} folded on fifth
Mike Gorodinsky: {x-}{x-} / {6-}{j-} folded on fourth

After several Razz hands without any major action until fifth street, a three-way pot emerged in which Eric Wasserson completed with an ace and was called by Philip Long and Mike Gorodinsky.

Wasserson checked the best board on fourth and Long bet, Gorodinsky folded after catching paint and Long called. On fifth, Wasserson hit a perfect wheel card once more and bet while Long folded his pair of sixes with some hesitation. By that time, former chip leader Wasserson only had another three big bets behind and moved back to more than eight and a half big bets.

Yeh Scoops Chait; Gets Scooped By Gorodinsky

Level 22 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Andrew Yeh: {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}
Philip Long: {x-}{x-} / {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} folded on sixth
Craig Chait: {x-}{x-} / {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} / {x-}

In three-way limped action, fourth street was checked despite Craig Chait and Andrew Yeh making a pair of eights and fives respectively. Chait check-called a bet by Yeh on fifth and Long also came along before sixth saw Chait check-call Yeh's bet and Long folded.

Chait check-called again and mucked when Yeh showed an eight-high straight.

Andrew Yeh: {x-}{x-} / {7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} / {x-}
Mike Gorodinsky: {6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} / {2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}

Yeh was then involved in a pot against Mike Gorodinsky in which he bet a pair of sevens on sixth. He check-called seventh and Gorodinsky tabled the six-high straight to take most of Yeh's previous winnings.

Long Beats Gorodinsky in Showdown

Level 23 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

The restart after the break has been rather tedious and very few action-packed hands took place.

Eric Wasserson chipped up by one big bet when he raised out of the small blind and John Racener defended the big blind, then folded the {j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop when facing a bet by Wasserson.

Mike Gorodinsky won the blinds with an open raise only to lose more chips thereafter. He defended in a battle of the blinds against Philip Long, who raised and received a call. On the {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, Long bet and Gorodinsky raised for Long to call. Long then check-called on the {9-Diamonds} turn and led the {j-Spades} river.

Gorodinsky took a minute before he called and Long's {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for two pair won the pot.

Racener and Yockey Chop Up Profit Versus Chait

Level 23 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Craig Chait
Craig Chait

Omaha Hi-Lo

The first three hands of Omaha Hi-Lo were raise and take it preflop. What followed was a very long and intense three-way pot in which Craig Chait lost a significant portion of his stack.

It all started with a hijack raise by Bryce Yockey and Chait called in the cutoff, John Racener flat-called in the big blind. On the {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, Racener checked and Yockey bet for both opponents to call.

The {3-Hearts} on the turn was checked all the way and Racener then led the {a-Spades} on the river. Yockey raised and that sent Chait into the tank, he eventually opted to call the raise. Racener made it three bets and Yockey called after some consideration as Chait was sent into another tank.

Finally, Chait called and Racener revealed the {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for the nut low and a straight. Yockey had the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for aces full and Chait immediately said "I know what you had ... " before telling his table neighbour "you could have reraised".

That's when Yockey finally broke his silence and mentioned "I wasn't sure if you would have called." Chait's chips in the pot were chopped and Racener extended his lead.

Eric Wasserson Eliminated in 8th Place ($47,819)

Omaha Hi-Lo

Action picked up on the flop in a heads-up pot. The board read {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Eric Wasserson bet the flop in position and Andrew Yeh put in the two-bet. Wasserson called.

The turn came the {j-Hearts} and Yeh continued his aggression with a bet. Wasserson counted his chips and decided to raise, committing himself to the pot. Yeh immediately moved in with him and Wasserson knew he was in trouble.

Eric Wasserson: {4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Andrew Yeh: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Wasserson had an open-ender and an overpair, but none of that came through when the {j-Diamonds} filled up Yeh to send Wasserson to the payout line.

Ugly Runout Leaves Sokoloff on Fumes

Level 23 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Razz

Andrew Yeh: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{10-} folded on fourth
Craig Chait: {x-}{x-} / {4-}{6-}{9-}{3-}
Paul Sokoloff: {x-}{x-} / {2-}{7-}{2-}{2-} folded on sixth

Andrew Yeh completed with a seven and was called by Craig Chait and Paul Sokoloff. Chait bet his lead on fourth to earn one call as Yeh opted to fold with the ten. Chait bet fifth when Sokoloff paired the deuce and received a very reluctant call.

Things got even worse on sixth as Sokoloff made trips deuces in Razz to snap-fold to another bet of Chait.
