Peffly Forces a Fold
Tjaart Steyn tossed a single 5,000 chip into the pot from middle position and the dealer, who correctly stated that Steyn had not declared a raise, informed the table the action would be a limp. Steyn confirmed that he had intended to raise, saying "I meant to raise, I just didn't say it". Action folded around to Alex Peffly in the big blind, who checked his option.

and Steyn continued for 5,000. It was not enough to get rid of Peffly, who made the call.
The
turn saw Peffly check for a second time. Steyn was in no mood to slow down, firing off a bet of 12,500. Peffly was equally undeterred and, after some consideration, sized up a raise to 45,000. That was enough to get Steyn to release his hand, sending the pot Peffly's way.
