Abitboul's Shove Takes Down First Pot Post Color Up

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With 25,000 already in the middle, and a board of {8-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, action was heads up. Roee Abitboul fired 12,500 from the cutoff. His opponent, in the big blind, called.

The {2-Spades} completed the board. The big blind checked to Abitboul, who tossed a single chip into the middle, announcing "all in". The big blind snap folded after clarifying that Abitboul was all-in. Abitboul scooped the pot.

Notable Big Stacks Across Bally's Blue Area

Level 8 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Pirault, On The Road

Level 8 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Just before the break, we caught Francois Pirault all in with Aces, from the cut-off. He was playing this hand versus the player at the button.

"I bet 3,500 before the flop, then I just 3-barrel 7,000 on the flop {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts}, 12,000 on the turn {9-Diamonds} and all-in on the river {6-Diamonds}. My opponent had something like 35,000."

And not enough in his hand to beat {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} for the French player, who's now got more than three starting stacks.

Berkey Takes a Small One

Level 8 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Matt Berkey
Matt Berkey

Matt Berkey was in a multi-way pot where 9,000 was in the middle on {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}, the small blind lead for 2,000 and Berkey moved all-in for his last 30,700 or so.

The other players all folded and he increased his stack back up to approximately 44,000.

Full Double For Reis Blind on Blind

Level 8 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Rafael Reis
Rafael Reis

After a small blind call from his opponent, Rafael Reis raised to around 6,000 from the big blind. His opponent reraised to 25,000, Reis moved all in, and the small blind called off.

Reis was way ahead with his {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} against the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} of his opponent.

The flop was a little scary for Reis, {2-Spades}{3-Spades}{q-Spades} but after the {k-Diamonds} and {a-Clubs} fell, it secured the Brazilian the full double-up.

Engerman Makes a Straight to Bust Opponent

Level 8 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Preflop action saw 12,400 go into the pot. With three players still in the hand, the flop came {2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Lawrence Engerman checked from the big blind. A bet of 6,000 came from early position. Both the cutoff and Engerman called.

The turn brought the {8-Clubs} to the board. Engerman wasted little time before announcing "I'm all in" to the table, with around 40,000 left. The early position player called for the 15,000 he had remaining. The big blind got out of the way, as the players showed their hands.

Lawrence Engerman: {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Engerman had turned a straight. The river changed nothing, and Engerman scooped the pot as his opponent was sent to the rail.
