Barns Triples With Aces, Tsang Sent To The Rail

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After Christopher Barnes was all in from the big blind, there was action behind, with Anson Tsang on the button and another opponent, who was under-the-gun, playing heads-up on a board of {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

Tsang moved all in for his last 35,400 and his opponent called. Creating 95,000 side pot and 75,000 main pot. Cards were flipped on their backs.

Christopher Barnes: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Anson Tsang: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

Tsang needed a nine, queen or ace to scoop a 170,000 chip pot, with Barnes having to do some dodging to win the main pot.

The river ran out the {5-Diamonds} to award the main pot to Barnes and Tsang's opponent knocking him out of the event.

The un-named opponent refused to give his name but he was the beneficiary of a 95,000 side pot.

Nick Goulart's Story

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Nick Goulart
Nick Goulart

Nick Goulart has worked up a decent looking stack of around 110,000 thus far and is looking good in his first ever WSOP bracelet event.

Nick, who is mostly used to playing cash games or sit and gos with his military buddies over the years, is looking to get his first WSOP bracelet. Deservedly so after serving in the U.S. Air Force for the last 21 years, mostly out of Travis air base.

Nick credits his spouse, Val with helping improve his poker game, what an ode to her it would be if he could ship the entire event.

There are plenty of stories coming out of this year's Salute to Warriors event, stay tuned for all the up to date stories and hands.

Skare Is Scared, But There Is No Reason To Be

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

After John Skare moved all in for his last 35,000 over a 2,000 bet and 10,000 three-bet from Loic Debregeas, all three players were committed for stacks.

John Skare : {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Loic Debregeas: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

It wasn't easy for Skare who needed to fade diamonds on the {9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop, but the safe {8-Spades} turn and {7-Spades} river completed the board to give him the triple up.
