Vanier Shows Aggression From the Big Blind

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Joining the action on the flop of {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades} Robert Askarov was in the hijack and bet 175,000. Mike Vanier was in the big blind and raised to 450,000. Askarov called.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and Vanier continued the aggression by betting 750,000. Askarov paused before making the fold as Vanier scooped in the pot.

Verhaegen Scores Big Double Up

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Action was picked up after Matthew Bray had moved all in, getting one caller: Wim Ben Verhaegen, who had the effective stack of just over 2,000,000.

Wim Ben Verhaegen: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Matthew Bray: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Verhaegen was ahead with his better ace, and the {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} runout did nothing to change that. After a quick count from the dealer, Verhaegen scooped the pot, doubling his stack.

"Nice Check on the Turn"

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Daniel Marcus raised the button and Ethan Siemiesz called in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Siemiesz check-called Marcus's 250,000 bet.

The turn was the {4-Spades} and action checked through.

The {9-Clubs} was the river and Siemiesz led out for 275,000. Marcus made the call. Siemiesz showed {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of eights but it was no match for Marcus's {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Siemiesz said to Marcus "Nice check on the turn" as Marcus stacked his chips.

Manago Scores the Knockout

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Action was picked up after Kohichi Manago moved all in from the cutoff following a raise to 200,000 from Kaleb Dunn in the hijack. Action folded back around to Dunn who made the call with the effective stack just north of 2,000,000.

Kaleb Dunn: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Kohichi Manago: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Manago was in great position to score the knockout and nearly double his own stack. The {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop did give Dunn more outs with a gutshot straight draw, but that draw wouldn't deliver, as the board completed {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}, offering him no help. Manago scooped the pot while Dunn was sent to the payout desk.

Gridelli Doubles Through Ciccarelli

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

John Ciccarelli raised to 210,000 from the cutoff. Sandro Gridelli moved all in on the button for 790,000 and stood up. Action folded back to Ciccarelli who asked for a count. Ciccarelli made the call.

Sandro Gridelli: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
John Ciccarelli: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Gridelli had Ciccarelli dominated and secured the double up as the board ran out {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{j-Spades} giving Gridelli the double up with the nut flush.

Early Knockouts

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Ciccarelli Snap Calls River

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Joining the action on the river the board read {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Craig McCorkell bet 240,000 from the big blind and John Ciccarelli snap called on the button. McCorkell turned over {a-Clubs}{8-Spades} for sevens full of eights but that couldn't beat Ciccarelli's {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for sevens full of nines as he scooped the pot.

Tshernia Doubles Up

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Action was picked up as Tsuf Saltsberg made the call following Paul Tschernia's all-in move. With Tschernia the at-risk player, the two tabled their hands.

Paul Tschernia: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Tsuf Saltsberg: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Tschernia had Saltsberg dominated. And while Saltsberg did pick up a pair and a spade on the {2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop, it wouldn't be enough as the board bricked out with the {2-Hearts} on the turn and {10-Clubs} on the river.
