Brandt Directly Doubles

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

On one of the first hands of this three-handed, Lawrence Brandt managed to bet his last 4,550,000 before the flop, and Robert Tanita attempted to eliminate him.

Lawrence Brandt: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Robert Tanita: {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The board ran {2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Brandt's rail could scream, their favorite runner left in contention just doubled up with two-pair and is still in the race for that WSOP Gold bracelet.

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Richard Crooks
Richard Crooks

Richard Crooks raised to 900,000 in the cutoff and in the big blind, Robert Tanita called.

The flop came out {5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Tanita led for 2,000,000 which saw Crooks move all in for 5,600,000 and Tanita called.

Richard Crooks: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Robert Tanita: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

The turn {5-Hearts} and river {3-Spades} did not help Crooks as his straight draw missed and Tanita's pocket sixes held for the high hand, while his six-five low scooped the low side and Crooks left in 4th place.
