McClelland Sitting on a Big Stack, Phillips Rebuys

Poker Hall of Famer Jack McClelland is in attendance today.

He was a WSOP tournament director in the '80s and a one-time semi-professional bowler.

McClelland also spent much of the early 2000s running the Bellagio poker room and helped usher in the World Poker Tour.

He retired in 2013 and was inducted into the Poker HOF in 2014. McClelland has $385,121 in recorded earnings.

Meanwhile, Dennis Phillips used his reentry and has nearly doubled it since then.

Webb Running Hot with Tens

A big pot headed the way of Stan Webb.

The board was reading and Webb was showing for quad tens as his opponent was getting up from the table and showing pocket kings. Webb moved up past 50,000 with the knockout.

On the next hand, Webb and an opponent put in 1,500 each to the flop.

The action checked to Webb and he bet 2,000 as his opponent came along to the turn. It was a check-call again as Webb continued for 3,000 more and they saw the river. After a third check, Webb finally took it with a bet of 4,500.

Webb showed for trip sevens as he dragged another pot.

"I had a ten in my hand though," said Webb.

"That's all you need," said a player at the table.

The Reigning Champion Adam Is Here

Last year's champion of this event, Jean-Luc Adam, has run it up in the early going.

Adam, from France, navigated a field of 1,893 players to take home $255,623 and his first WSOP gold bracelet.

There was a raise to 1,500 from the hijack and both the button and Adam came along to the flop. The action checked to the turn and Adam bet 2,100 to take down the pot.

Klein Is Killing It

Bill Klein was seen stacking chips and was ready for another pot.

There was a raise to 1,300 from early position and two callers with the action on Klein. He three-bet to 4,800 and the player from early position called.

One got out of the way and a player in middle position then moved all in for 8,200, both players called.

Klein and the early position player checked down the side pot all the way to showdown on the completed board of . Klein showed pocket sevens for a rivered straight, the early position player mucked and the all in player from middle position flashed ace-high before heading to the exit.

It's Bond, Jeff Bond

There was a three-way all in happening and James Ditaranto found himself in the middle of it.

The flop was already showing with cards on their backs.

Ditaranto already held a queen-high straight and the runout gave him a flush. "Wow," said Ditaranto as he threw his hands up in the air. With that pot, he moves back above his starting stack as Level 4 runs down.

Also seated at the table is Jeff Bond, who was the table chip leader.

"It's Bond," he said. "Jeff Bond."

Bond assured PokerNews that this wasn't the first time he's used that line.

Shak Another Super Senior in the Mix
