Massoud Eskandari

Massoud "Mike" Eskandari was already stacking chips from knocking out an opponent when he found another hand to play.

Eskandari called a raise of 55,000 from Joel Cohen to see the {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop. Eskandari check-called another 50,000 and the turn brought the {j-Clubs}.

"Okay I'm all in," said Eskandari as he continued to stack his mountain of chips.

"Will you show me?" asked Cohen.

"No," said Eskandari.

"Will you tell what you had?" asked Cohen again.

"No," said Eskandari firmly.

"Will you meet him at the Eiffel Tower in ten years and tell him," Salvatore Busacca chimed in.

"What would you recommend?" asked Cohen.

"Fold so I can laugh about it for the rest of my life," said Eskandari.

Finally, the clock was called and Cohen mucked his holding.

Eskandari meanwhile, is nearing three million in chips.

Joining the action on the flop of {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and action checked to David Schneider in middle position who bet 125,000. Wesley Nally in the big blind asked to look at Schneider's stack before going deep into the tank. He eventually announced all in for 430,000 effective. Schneider pondered and made the call.

David Schneider: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Wesley Nally: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The turn was the {9-Spades} which was no help for Schneider. However the {a-Diamonds} on the river kept Schneider's tournament life alive. He said "Sometimes you get lucky" as he racked in the chips.

Niekerk Shows the Nuts

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Carolyn Niekerk
Carolyn Niekerk

Carolyn Niekerk has so many chips, that there's hardly room for another player to sit next to her.

Niekerk faced an all-in bet from Peter Wikoff on the {6-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{a-Hearts} river and she snap-called.

Niekerk turned over {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the nut flush and she sent Wikoff to the rail.

She appears to be the chip leader at the moment.
