Vogelsang Bluffs with the Lower Pair

Level 37 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Christoph Vogelsang found the {5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} in his hand on the button and opted to raise to 48,000 which Kevin Rabichow called with the {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

The flop came {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}, Rabichow quickly checked for Vogelsang to continue with a bet of 28,000 and got called.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} for Rabichow to hit the higher pair of eights. He checked again for Vogelsang to do the same.

The river completed the board with the {3-Hearts} and Rabichow took over the initiative and led out with a bet of 41,000. Vogelsang took some time and then opted to raise it up to 350,000. Rabichow looked at his cards once more before opting to fold.

Vogelsang Gets Creative on the River

Level 37 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Christoph Vogelsang opened from the button to 48,000 with {5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Kevin Rabichow defended with {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

The flop came out {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{a-Clubs} and when action checked to the preflop raiser, he sized up a 26,000-chip bet with bottom pair, to which his opponent called with jack-high.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, giving Rabichow the best hand. Both players checked and then saw the {3-Hearts} on the river. Vogelsang again checked and Rabichow bet out 41,000.

Vogelsang couldn't give up or call, so he went for a check-raise to 350,000, and it worked like a charm. Rabichow folded and the bluffer took down the pot.

Sammartino with 2:1 Chip Advantage Over Smith

Level 37 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Dario Sammartino
Dario Sammartino

Dario Sammartino opened to 45,000 and Dan Smith called.

The flop read {2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Smith would call Sammartino's bet of 35,000 and they would go to a turn.

The {5-Spades} came and Sammartino would go big and bet 145,000. Smith would take roughly 30 seconds before making the call.

The {q-Hearts} would slow the players down as they went check-check.

Just as Smith was about to table his cards, Sammartino flipped over {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, causing Smith to toss his into the muck.

Pocket Pair vs. Pocket Pair

Level 38 : 10,000/25,000, 0 ante

Dario Sammartino opened to 60,000 from the button with {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} before Dan Smith called with {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}.

The flop was {j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and the big blind checked to the preflop raiser who fired out a bet of 75,000, which wasn't enough to convince his opponent to fold.

Both players saw the {7-Diamonds} and action again checked to Sammartino. Not concerned with the two over cards on the board, he wagered 145,000 and forced the best hand to fold.

Sammartino Continues Aggressive Play

Level 38 : 10,000/25,000, 0 ante

From the button, Dario Sammartino raised his {k-Clubs}{6-Spades} to 60,000 and was called by Dan Smith's {j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. The flop was {2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} and action checked to the preflop aggressor who barreled off another 75,000.

Smith, with middle pair, called and then checked the {10-Hearts} turn card, as did his opponent. The river was the {6-Diamonds}, improving Sammartino's hand to a winner, but Smith led for 100,000. The 2019 WSOP Main Event runner-up went for a raise to 390,000, and his opponent correctly folded.
