A Win and a Chop for Negreanu

Level 9 : 0/0, 1,200 ante

Daniel Negreanu limped in from under the gun and Philip Marsico raised to 8,000 on his left. Jonathan Depa called and Negreanu also came along. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and the action checked to Depa who threw in a bet of 13,000. Negreanu check-raised all in which got both Marsico and Depa to quickly fold.

On the next hand, Elior Sion raised to 8,000 in the hijack and was called by Carlos Leiva in the cutoff and Negreanu on the button. The flop fell {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Sion continued with a bet of 8,000. Leiva called and Negreanu raised to 28,000. Sion shipped all in which got Leiva to fold but Negreanu called after he got his video equipment out.

Sion showed {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Negreanu was relieved that he would be chopping with {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. The board ran out {9-Spades}, {6-Clubs} and Negreanu was able to put his recording device gently back on the floor.
