Lamb Does the Slaughtering

Level 10 : 0/0, 1,500 ante
Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

Action picked up on the turn in a heads-up pot. The board read {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and about 36,000 was up for grabs.

Seongsu Kong checked to Ben Lamb who decided to check behind.

The river fell the {6-Clubs}. Kong bet 21,000 and Lamb thought for about 45 seconds. He wasn't calling, though, he slid 85,000 into the middle.

Kong now went into the tank, but after 30 seconds, he made the call.

Lamb showed {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the rivered flush which brought groans from Kong.

"How do you make a flush? They're so hard to make in this game," said Anson Tsang.

"Hard to get, but you make lots of money when you get it," said Lamb. "I didn't know if you had a full house or a bluff, but I wanted a call."

Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

Action started with both Ben Lamb and Seongsu Kong trading raises to get all their chips in the middle on the flop. Kong was the ffective stack with about 150,000.

The flop showed {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Spades}.

Ben Lamb: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Seongsu Kong: {10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Kong had the nuts, but that changed when the {k-Diamonds} hit the turn, leaving Kong drawing dead. The river was the {q-Clubs}.

"Lucky Ben," said Daniel Negreanu.

"Lucky Ben? I was ahead. I wanted him to have the nuts," said Lamb as he raked the pot.

Action was started in a heads-up pot between Daniel Negreanu and Stephen Chidwick on the river. The board showed {6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Negreanu bet 35,000 into a pot of about 45,000. Chidwick thought for about a minute before making the call.

Negreanu showed the {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for the full house and the winner.

"That really is an unlucky banana," Cary Katz told Chidwick. "You should have eaten it already. You might be gone in fifteen minutes.

Lamb Has Heaps, Negreanu Saves His Stack, Tsang Hits the Rail

Level 10 : 0/0, 1,500 ante
Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

Anson Tsang opened to 11,000 from under the gun and Ben Lamb raised to 55,000 on his left. Daniel Negreanu was next to act and took some time before laying his hand down. The action was back on Tsang who ripped all in for around 290,000. Lamb snapped him off and the cards were tabled.

Anson Tsang: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Ben Lamb: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

"Wow! What a good fold!" Negreanu shouted. "I folded kings."

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} to give Tsang a straight draw. The {7-Hearts} on the turn also gave him a flush draw but the {10-Spades} on the river bricked everything. It was a massive pot that saw Lamb soar in front of the rest of the field.

"I should have your chips too," Lamb said to Negreanu.

"Ha ha look at me. I still have 200k," Negreanu recorded on his vlogging equipment.

"You should have busted, not him," Cary Katz pointed out. "He's cheating!"

A Double Hits Fan

Level 10 : 0/0, 1,500 ante

Leroy Fan moved all in from early position for 56,200. Alex Foxen decided to move all in behind him for over 200,000. Everyone folded and the two were off to a runout.

Alex Foxen: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Leroy Fan: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} before Fan stood up to reach for his bag. The old trick worked when the {a-Diamonds} hit the river to secure the full double.

Winter Flops Trips

Level 11 : 0/0, 2,000 ante

Sean Winter just called from the cutoff and Jonathan Depa checked his option on the button. The flop came {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Winter check-called a min-bet of 2,000 from Depa.

The turn was the {a-Clubs} and both players checked to the {k-Spades} on the river. Winter led out with a bet of 13,500 on the river and Depa snap-called. Winter turned over {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for trip eights and Depa sent his cards to the muck.

Shota Nakanishi saw a few limps in front of him before he raised to 24,000 from the button. Only Mike Watson made the call to the button's left.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Watson checked to Nakanishi who bet 33,000. Watson made the call after thinking for about 20 seconds.

On the {j-Spades} turn, Watson checked to Nakanishi again. Once more, Nakanishi bet, to the tune of 50,000. Watson thought for a bit before letting his cards go.
